New Ross-Rig
Entered on: August 28, 2003 2:03 PM by Ross
Well, due to silly circumstances, I am upgrading my main gaming computer and giving Heather's computer an upgrade from my leftovers. The relevant specs are:

Intel P4 2.6Ghz (800Mhz FSB)
A sweet ASUS motherboard with Firewire and USB2.0 integrated, along with integrated Gigbait ethernet/100/10 and onboard 5.1 audio.
512 MB of PC2700 RAM
But the coolest part is the case. Here are pics of it. It even has noise-activated neon lights.

According to FedEx's website, the case was delivered today at my place. Can't wait to get the rest. I'm gonna be ready for Doom3 and Half-Life 2, baby! The xbox is gonna be gutter trash compared to this thing!

Sounds sweet. Are you gonna pick up the PC version of Halo, Rossinksi?

Ross, that case is geek central... but pretty rad, too. My friend Rob (Swider) customized his case himself... put switches and LEDs on the front and plexiglass on the side, so you can look in and see the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant playset with Homer Simpson action figure. I'm envious of it...

Damn, dude, that's way geekier than me. But this is the guy who was playing computer games at his bachelor party, right? I think modded cases are cool, but I don't think I'd ever go quite that far, myself. The only exception might be if I were rebuilding the Rosstation and I wanted to make it look more like a stereo component, I might try to squeeze it into the shell of an old receiver or something.
