A special Confatulations to you on a BIG ole boy!  Wow, he is a whopper!  A C-section might have been a better option in more ways.  I can see the Johnson in him (wait - I guess that should not be said in that way!)  We are glad that things went so well and thanks too for the quick report and pictures.  We were all waiting for the news.

Rest up while you can, there will be plenty of sleepless nights ahead.  We are very happy for your addition (OK I wanted to say Johnson Family Expansion Pack - but that is old already.  How about taking your new poop processor off the motherboard?)

Happy birthday to Logan!

Congrats Bert and H-bomb, with all the babies poppin' out we're gonna have to make a special effort not to turn this site into baby forum. With a name like Jackassery, it just doesn't seem fitting.

Now the race is on for the Heiss Brothers. Who's gonna be first to squirt out the the next round of rug rats.

Congradulantions!

We're glad everything went well!  And isn't Logan a BIG BOY (insert in my best baby-talk voice: "Who's a BIG boy?").

Alright, Bert.  We'll compare notes in a few days.  For me?  1-1/2 weeks and I haven't changed a diaper yet.  Plus, I've even gotten in some Gears of War sessions!  Let's see you do THAT!  Good luck sleeping too.  If Logan's anything like Anna, he'll sleep all day long only to become wide awake and needing attention at 3 AM.  It's all worth it though!

So far, Logan has been a good sleeper - but I still didn't get much of my own last night, but mostly due to the fact that the hospital fold-out-couch-bed is probably less comfortable than a bed of nails.   But he's pretty easy going so far, only cries when hungry.

I have already changed a dirty diaper, thankyouverymuch, and I'm proud of it - your bragging about not having done it yet is not achieving its desired effect on this end.

My Gears status remains to be seen - I certainly won't be on this weekend, but with all this time off, it's like I'd have to try not to play!

Here's how I pictured the birth of Ross' son: He comes out, and starts screaming and yelling (as babies do), and voila! His first LoganRant (TM), the official biological offshoot of the RossRant (TM)! Two seconds old, and he's already taking after his dad!

But seriously, Stacy and I couldn't be happier for you guys.

I'm sure he'll approach LoganRanting at some point in the future, but straight out of the womb, he actually wasn't crying enough.  He was kind of shocked, apparently from being pulled free from the breech position he'd been in for so long, so they had to work on him, heating him up and even giving him some oxygen.  He eventually gave up some cries though, and now he is a model citizen, who tends to cry only when appropriate - unlike his old man.

If you're trying to make me feel guilty -- or jealous that I'm missing out on something "special" -- it also is not achieving the desired effect.  :)

It's funny.  Usually babies look pretty much alike (or at least that's what I always thought).  But there's no mistaking Anna is a girl and Logan is a boy, is there?

Nope, just saying that not sharing in parental responsibilities is nothing to brag about.

Oooooh, Zinger! What you've got to do is visit and then change the baby's diaper right in front of him and his wife. Makes him look bad, you know. I have to say though. Jack is definitely a proud Papa. He'll be hands on soon enough. Congrats on the boy by the way. It's about time someone had a baby with a penis. All these girls being born is really starting to scare me.

Really - over here it's all boys!  I have one friend, Eric, who has been on Jackassery from time to time, who had a baby girl the same day as us, but otherwise, I know about 6 or 7 other people having babies this summer who are having boys.  We need to scatter this demographic some and mix it up.

Well, it looks like Heather, Logan, and I will be making our trip to GR the weekend of the 15th of September.  I know Johnnybells is working that day during the day but I want to make a trip out to Lowell sometime that weekend to at least check out the new Rochestead, either Saturday night or Sunday afternoon sometime.  Let me know what works best for people.
