That's full sweet. I love me some Zombies. Got to see if there are any in my area.

You also love vampires, Bone. You should check out True Blood on HBO. It's pretty sweet and hernie too.

I just downloaded the first two episodes.  I've heard it's good... I just need to get my new Rosstation in tip-top shape before I can partake (pics coming soon, it's badass).

I've been watching True Blood. Anna Paquin gives me the bern!

The hottie waitress that Jason was hitting in the show also gave me the bern! The show overall is a bit on the hernie side.

True Blood is solid... it kind of ranges wildly between really good and kinda crappy, but I'm nonetheless entertained by it. It certainly helps fill the hole left vacant since Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Dude, I'm not even going to lie, I liked Buffy the Vampire slayer. I also like the spin off - Angel. Mostly because of Cordelia Chase.

So far my favorite scene on True Blood was when the gay cook confronted the hillbillies about serving up some AIDS. That shit had me rolling.

I agree, Bone - That was sweet!

"Bitch, you come into my house, you're gonna eat the food the way I F'in make it!"

The gay cook if one funny badass mofo. I'm always amused by him.

Watching the first episode now.  I definitely give it the thumbs!

You know, this show has gotten me thinking.  I'm only 2/3 of the way thru the first episode, so maybe they explore these ideas, but I'll spout off anyway.

If vampires really existed the way that they are portrayed in this show, don't you think that eventually everyone would become one?  I mean, if it came to dying or become an immortal vampire, wouldn't you go the vampire route?  Don't give me any shit about "I wouldn't want to live forever" - that's nonsense and if I haven't already demolished that idea on JA before I'll do it later if someone really wants me to.

Anyhow, the only way I reckon that humanity wouldn't eventually all go vampire is if they have weaknesses in excess of their strengths.  Given that a vampire can't go human but a human can go vampire, I would think that over time, the vampire population would grow dramatically and the human one would shrink.

I haven't yet seen s vampire in action so I don't know how this show's version compares to ones in other legends.  But aside from some silly achilles heels (garlic, silver, okay the daylight thing is pretty shitty), overall it seems like it's a no brainer to go the blood sucker route.

Not to turn this into a running commentary on True Blood, but the gay cook is fucking hilarious.  Sex on a stick!  "You can be my Santa Claus!"  LOL!

Here's">http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&safe=off&client=safari&rls=en-us&resnum=0&q=lafayette%20re">Here's the video of Lafayette, the gay cook, serving up an AIDS burger.

Okay, they're fucking up the fangs.  They should be the canines, not the ones just to the left and right of the front teeth!

Well I just saw Anna Paquin's bare teets so it's all right so I can overlook orthodontic discrepancies.

I was just going to criticize you on getting excited over seeing someone's bare teeth when I noticed the subtle, yet very important, difference in spelling.

I'll give you a little cocoa, a little cocoa.

LOL!

Zilla,  I need to get this for my box.  Apparently, I'm missing out on a bit of television history.

From: Radmobile Entered on: December 8, 2008 3:10 PM

Well, Annie and I are finally on the True Blood bandwagon.  I think we're about halfway through the season already.  They keep ending with cliffhangers that make you just want to start the next one, which of course leads to us watching another entire episode.

From: Jackzilla Entered on: December 8, 2008 4:04 PM

So, Rad - You agree it's better than Earth 2 then?  Yeah, yeah... I have it all queued up to watch.  I'm just finishing watching some loose ends (like The 4400, which IMO is better than Heroes and got cancelled too early), then I'm off to some Earth 2 stank.

Speaking of stank:  Bert - You still watching Knight Rider?

From: Radmobile Entered on: December 8, 2008 4:18 PM

Oh yes.  It's safe to say it's better than Earth 2.  I still like the idea of a show like Earth 2.  The execution leaves something to be desired though, watching it over 10 years later and no longer a 14 yr old.

I'm still eagerly awaiting your first "book report" though.

From: Ross Entered on: December 9, 2008 7:34 AM

No, Stank Rider (or Knight Stanker, if you prefer) dropped off my DVR after 2 or 3 episodes.  They had hot chicks on there, which kept me interested for about that long.  Otherwise it was BAWK BAWK CRAP!

From: BigFatty Entered on: December 9, 2008 12:22 PM

Dude - Where did the chicken go for all this time?  He had tons of crap to weigh in on.

From: Jackzilla Entered on: December 9, 2008 1:38 PM

I love the chicken!

From: Jackzilla Entered on: June 2, 2009 12:16 AM

True Blood is back June 14!

From: Ross Entered on: June 2, 2009 1:34 PM

Looking sweet!  Can't wait!

From: Ross Entered on: September 30, 2009 7:42 PM

I wasn't aware that True Blood was actually a sitcom!
