Run Linux on Xbox with no modchip!
Entered on: July 17, 2003 3:20 PM by Ross
For those of you who don't know what Linux is, it's an operating system (like Windows) that's free (unlike Windows). It's what the computer that runs this website runs on. These guys claim that you can run it on your xbox without having to install a modchip! Check it out:

I had to do a search just to figure out what CP/M was. Is that the Commodore 64 OS? I used to love my C64 - even Roche used to come over and play Bruce Lee with me. I think there is a C64 emulator around someplace, too. I even learned to program on the damn thing - the great great grand-daddy of Jackassery was programmed by me on my old Commodore.

I'm showing my age with the CP/M reference. It was an old 8-bit computer operating system by Digital Research... pre-dating MS-DOS. It was available on several different computers. My old Coleco Adam computer even had a version you could load up! (From which you could run Word Perfect, Infocom games and other stuff). I think there was a version for the C-64 or C-128 too.

Back then we didn't know any better and we LIKED IT that way!
